I am passionate about designing strategically and intentionally. From research, discovery, and ideation, to prototyping, iterating, and QA, I enjoy being involved in all steps of the design process. It is important to me to work cross-functionally to better understand users, business goals, and data-analytics so that my design decisions are informed. I love leading and mentoring others, design strategy, and learning from the different functions that I collaborate with. Designing for diversity and inclusion is extremely important to me and working with diverse communities helps me learn and look at problems from different angles and consider multiple solutions.
I lead with empathy and strive to guide design strategy and road-map planning to solve user and business problems simultaneously.
Through testing, connecting with users, iterating and staying curious, I aim to find innovative and functional solutions to problems.
I work closely with designers, engineers, product managers, marketing, data-analytics, business development, and leadership to achieve goals.
I work cross-functionally to understand users, their problems, business goals, how we measure success and how we can iterate based on quantitative and qualitative results.

I was born and raised in San Jose, CA and moved north to attend the University of Oregon, where I studied Architecture. I then continued my education at Portland State University, studying Graphic Design and Interaction Design. Architecture remains extremely influential in my design thinking and UX work while my background in graphic design influences how I approach UI and visual design.
In my free time, I love to learn, read, hike, and listen to podcasts. I'm currently diving into Swift and refreshing my 3D design skills. I love reading books about business, building habits, design, and psychology. I also enjoy working on freelance and volunteer projects across various areas of design, including illustration, branding, multi-media production, web design, and product design.
I look forward to rainy days and relocating to Seattle from NYC in early 2021. ☔️
