I'm currently a Senior Product Designer at SoFi based in Seattle, WA.
Working to improve the community experience by allowing users to follow each other, view an automated activity history, and engage more with other users in the Aaptiv community. By doing so, we hope to help users keep each other motivated and accountable while increasing product stickiness and engagement.
My experience designing native iOS, Watch OS, and Android apps for customer facing experiences is founded on user research, usability testing, wire-framing, prototyping, and iterating.
Creating and maintaining design systems for rapid prototyping, faster development, and a unified experience is a key aspect of my work. They help build trust and familiarity among users.
I focus on mobile-first and responsive web app design that works across many different screen sizes. Adjusting layouts for optimized engagement is key in my web design work.
I've mastered the design principals and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to visual design. I've worked on marketing campaigns, presentation designs, print design, and branding projects.
These case studies show some of my current and past work's design process to solve a particular problem or set of problems.
I was born and raised in San Jose, CA and moved north to attend the University of Oregon, where I studied Architecture. I then continued my education at Portland State University, studying Graphic Design and Interaction Design. Architecture remains extremely influential in my design thinking and UX work while my background in graphic design influences how I approach UI and visual design.
In my free time, I love to learn, read, hike, and listen to podcasts. I'm currently diving into Swift and refreshing my 3D design skills. I love reading books about business, building habits, design, and psychology. I also enjoy working on freelance and volunteer projects across various areas of design, including illustration, branding, multi-media production, web design, and product design.
I look forward to rainy days and relocating to Seattle from NYC in early 2021. ☔️
